  • Terms: 35 hours per week
  • Salary: $40.18 - $56.79 per hour, in accordance with the Ontario Nurses’ Association Contract (ONA)
  • Position Summary:

    The successful candidate will work with the Sexual Health and Outreach Services programs and will support the public health team in multidisciplinary programs that support health across the lifespan. This includes providing services to priority populations and collaborating with community partners for planning, implementing, and evaluating Public Health programs.

  • Qualifications:
    • Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario, in good standing, or eligible to register within the Province
    • Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing, BScN
    • Current cardio-pulmonary resuscitation certification
    • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and to work as part of an interdisciplinary team
    • Knowledge of, and/or experience with, principles of adult and child education, social determinants of health, and population health promotion an asset
    • Certification in Infection Control would be an asset
  • Other:
    • All new Northwestern Health Unit employees are required to be fully vaccinated with a Health Canada approved COVID-19 vaccine as a condition of hire, unless medically exempt or otherwise exempt under the Ontario Human Rights Code
    • Access to transportation. Mileage allowance provided.
    • Successful candidate requires a clear Criminal Reference Check prior to start of work
