Missed Patches

If you have been without a patch for less than 24 hours apply a new patch as soon as you remember. You are still protected from pregnancy if you have been wearing a patch for 7 consecutive days.

If it has been more than 24 hours apply a new patch as soon as you remember. You are no longer considered protected from pregnancy. Use condoms for the next 7 consecutive days.

If you are not sure how long the patch has been off or if you are concerned about the risk of pregnancy, use condoms and call the sexual health clinic. Consider theĀ emergency contraceptive pill (ECP) if you have missed a patch and have sex without a condom or if the condom breaks.
