Seniors Fall Prevention

As we get older, our bodies go through many changes. It's important to recognize these changes and do what we can to live a longer and healthier life. It is never too late to improve your physical and emotional well-being.
Eat well
What you eat plays an important role in staying strong and healthy. 
Exercise regularly to build strength and improve your balance and co-ordination.  Always talk to your health care provider before starting any new physical activity.
Simple changes to your home can help prevent injuries. Avoid tripping by making sure objects are put away, and carpets are not loose. Keep everyday items within reach. Install handrails in stairways, and grab bars in the bathroom.
Visit health professionals regularly 
Make sure that you visit your health care provider, and have your vision and hearing checked regularly. It is also important to talk to your doctor or pharmacist about any medications that you may be taking.
