Do One Thing

It only takes one thing.  Join us and set a course to improve the health of your community, your family, and you! It’s time to Do One Thing! Do One Thing is a Northwestern Health Unit campaign to help people eat healthier, get active, and feel empowered to make changes in their community that make the healthy choice the easy choice.

There are small steps you can take right now to lead a healthier, more active life. Eat a meal as a family, go for a walk, or help your town turn a piece of unused land into a playground. These ‘One Things’ add up.

  • Eat well! 
    Eat well, celebrate and share meal times with friends and family!  Check out our suggestions and tips for making healthy eating choices.
  • Get moving your way every day!
    Learn more about fitting activity in, playing safely and ways to get active with your friends and family.
  • Do One Thing for your workplace!
    Many of us spend a large chunk of our week in the workplace.  Make health a priority in your workplace - change your workplace so the healthy choice is the easy choice.
  • Do One Thing for your community!
    We need the communities we live in to support healthy eating and physical activity!  Find out more about how you can create meaningful change in your community.
