The COVID-19 pandemic can be especially hard for children and youth to understand. Their normal way of life has been drastically changed – no school, sports, events or activities with friends – and it can be difficult for them to navigate.
Children and youth under 18 can access mental health services through Ontario.ca and, resources provided by Kids Help Phone, or by calling Kids Help Phone (1-800-668-6868) or Good2Talk helplines for 24/7 support if they need someone to talk to. Jack.org has also put together a COVID-19 Youth Mental Health Resource Hub for information and resources on mental health all in one place.
