This nine inning game sees two teams take turns in the field and at bat, with the home team at bat last.
Locally, you will find different types of baseball leagues including t-ball, slo-pitch, fastball or pick-up.
T-ball is intended as an introduction to baseball for children.
Key components include skill development and fun.
Slo-pitch is played using a high-arc pitching technique and the ball is generally thrown higher and slower into the strike zone.
In fastball or fast-pitch, the ball travels faster and straighter toward the strike zone.
Whatever your skill level, you are likely to find some form of baseball, recreational or competitive, near you.
