Do you have something to say about public policy issues affecting your community? We need you to join our online discussion panel and tell us what you would like to see in Northwestern Ontario.
The health unit is recruiting community members for an online panel to discuss public health policy. An online discussion panel is a group of residents who give their opinion about issues that affect where they live. We are looking for a diverse group of people from throughout the region to make up our panel.
How to join
If you want to volunteer for the online discussion panel please email firstname.lastname@example.org
with the subject line ‘panel participation’. You will be contacted directly by a health unit staff person who will help you complete panel registration.
What does being a panelist involve?
You will be asked to participate 2-3 times per year. Future topics could include a variety of different public health issues. Participation will include learning about the topic, online discussion groups, and filling out surveys either online or on paper. You may also be invited to attend group discussions.
Panelists may be given a small honorarium (cash or gift card) for actively participating in the online discussion panel. Participation in the panel is voluntary, and if you join you can stop at any time. Participation will in no way affect any services you receive from the health unit.
