Hike It or Bike It Challenge

Take the Hike It or Bike It Challenge! We are encouraging people to get out of their cars and walk, hike, bike, roll or stroll instead of driving. Ride your bike to work, walk to the grocery store, or use your scooter to get to school for a chance to win great prizes!

Challenge your friends, family, or co-workers to join you to park the car and to move a little more every day.

The challenge is open to anyone of any age; however, only participants from communities in the Northwestern Health Unit catchment area will be eligible for prizes.

How to Participate

  • Step 1 - Register by contacting your local health unit office, calling 1-800-830-5978 or by completing the online registration.

  • Step 2 - Fill in the Hike It or Bike It calendar to track your walking, wheeling, and rolling from June 1-17. You can pick up a tracking calendar at your local health unit office or download a copy.

  • Step 3 - Return your completed tracking calendar by email ( or to your local health unit office by June 20th for a chance to win 1 of 5 new bikes and other great prize packs.

Park the car, it's not that far. Walk, run, bike, roll or stroll your way through June.
