Bon Voyage! Here you will find health information to keep you well while you are away.
Travelling can increase your risk for a number of illnesses. We recommend visiting www.travel.gc.ca for valuable information on staying healthy at your destination.
Did you know there are travel health clinics in Winnipeg and Thunder Bay?
These experts can provide you with destination-specific health
information. This service is especially valuable for those traveling to
higher risk destinations like India, Africa, Southeast Asia, and South
America, etc.
As of September 1, 2017:
- Free travel health packages are available at every health unit office for pick up. These packages will replace our travel health consultations when printed information is of interest.
- All travellers can visit www.travel.gc.ca for easy access to full risk information for all destinations. If you have additional travel health questions, we recommend that you visit a travel clinic.
- Some travel vaccines can be purchased through the NWHU and we administer travel vaccines by appointment.
