COVID-19 for Health Care Professionals

COVID-19 (2019 Novel Coronavirus) emerged in December 2019 in China and is a reportable disease under Ontario’s Health Protection and Promotion Act along with other coronaviruses, SARS-CoV and MERS-CoV. A different coronavirus is among several viral causes of common colds in Canada, and it is not a reportable disease.

Global, Federal, Provincial and local actions are taking place to protect the public from the spread of COVID-19.
