- To reduce the prevalence of dental diseases in children and youth.
- To increase access to and use of services and supports for families experiencing difficulties.

- To provide optimal communication assessment and treatment to all families.
Before Baby - Provide information to expectant parents.
- Offer prenatal classes, or link to other providers offering classes in the community.
- Milk coupons for expectant mothers who qualify.
- Provide a book called "Healthy Beginnings".
- Information sessions to community groups.
After Baby - Infant Hearing screening in hospital or in the community.
- Telephone follow-up from a Public Health Nurse within 48-hours of discharge from hospital.
- Postpartum home visit from a Public Health Nurse.
- Information about and links to community supports & services.
- Supportive home visiting by a Public Health Nurse and Parenting Partner to provide extra in-home support and encouragement to families during difficult times.
Children, Youth & Adults - Preschool Speech & Language Services.
- Screenings/Assessments.
- Range of interventions for speech and language disorders/delays.
- Parent support and education.
- Preventive Dental Services.
- CINOT Program offers financial assistance to families who qualify for children who need urgent dental treatment.
- School Dental Screening Program.
- Preschool Fluoride Varnish Applications and Assessments.
- Preventive Dental Clinics offering cleaning, sealants, fluoride treatments and fluoride varnish.
- Dental health education and resources.
- Audiology Services.
- Hearing tests/screens.
- Prevention and diagnosis of hearing loss.
- Hearing Aid prescriptions.
