Prenatal classes are offered in various communities in the Kenora and Rainy River Districts by Northwestern Health Unit staff or other providers.
Prenatal Classes Offered by the Northwestern Health Unit
It is important to call early in your pregnancy to register as classes are offered on an “as needed basis.” Topics include: 1) healthy lifestyle choices, 2) preparation for labour & birth, 3) nutrition, 4) exercise, 5) breastfeeding, 6) comfort measures & relaxation, and 7) fetal development. Partners Welcome!
One-to-one prenatal education is also offered as needed as well as refresher classes for second or third-time Moms.
