KENORA Kenora Best Start Hub Programs: - Various programs for children 0 to 7 years of age.

The playgroup meets at the Community Centre for songs, reading, craft and a snack. Contact: Best Start Hub, 467-5530. Minto Girls Group - A prevention group for girl’s ages 9-12 focused on information sharing versus therapeutic services with the importance of mental and physical health emphasized.
- Participants are linked with various community organizations.
Contact: Lake of the Woods Child Development Centre 467-5437 Mom and Me, Abuse Free - A 10-week concurrent group program for children and their mothers who have experienced domestic violence.
- A chance to assist mother’s in understanding how violence has impacted their children and how best to respond to their children’s needs.
- Moms must have custody of their children to participate.
- Assistance with transportation and childcare is provided.

Baby & Me
- Baby & Me drop-in group is held every 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month from 1:30-3:00 at the Best Start Hub, 73 King Street.The first 20 minutes is devoted to a “topic of the Week” presented by the NWHU Healthy Babies, Healthy Children Public Health Nurse. Questions and discussion will follow the presentation.The remainder of the time is left for getting to know other new parents and babes, weighing your baby, breastfeeding, open discussion, and to ask the Public Health Nurse any questions you might have.This program is free, no registration needed and meant for parents with infants newborn to crawling. Baby's Day Out - Baby’s Day out is a group that meets every 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month at the Friendship Centre’s Family Support Program.
